Baruch Porras Hernandez

Baruch Porras Hernandez is a writer and performer who you can see monthly as The Voice of Shipwreck Erotic FanFiction Competition San Francisco’s wildest literary show, or as a regular host for KQED live Arts shows, or hosting ¿Donde Esta Mi Gente? a Latinx Performance Series. He is a two time winner of Literary Death Match, a two time Pushcart Prize nominee, and was named one of the 13 Top Bay Area Writers to Watch in 2016 by 7x7 Magazine. He is a Lambda Literary Fellow in Poetry and Playwriting. He’s been featured in Writers with Drinks, has performed several times with Radar Productions, LitQuake, and Quiet Lightning. He has won The Moth, Write Club SF,  Best of Bawdy Storytelling, was the reigning Muni Diaries Haiku Champion for three years and is featured on the RISK podcast. He recently received the Creative Work Fund grant to collaborate with MACLA (Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana) on a literary multimedia project that will focus on Queer Latinx Superhero stories. He is originally from Mexico, lives in San Francisco.
